Your Local Guide to 4th of July Celebrations Around Kansas City
By Briana Colón

Can you believe the 4th of July is right around the corner? If you're looking for fireworks, family fun, or small-town charm, the Kansas City area has something for everyone. I rounded up some of the best events happening across the metro so you can make the most of your Independence Day plans.

🎆 Booms & Blooms at Powell Gardens
June 28 | Kingsville, MO
Gorgeous gardens by day, fireworks by night. Enjoy live music, food, and the perfect family-friendly atmosphere in a beautiful setting. It’s a great early way to kick off your 4th celebrations!

🎇 Legacy Blast
July 3 | Legacy Park, Lee’s Summit
Live music, food trucks, inflatables, and a huge fireworks show over the lake. This one’s always a hit with families, and Lee’s Summit never disappoints when it comes to putting on a show.

🎉 Stars and Stripes Picnic at the National WWI Museum
July 3 | Downtown KC
This is one of my favorites! It's free and right on the lawn of the museum with live music, food trucks, and great views of the city. The fireworks over Union Station make it a KC classic.

🇺🇸 Red, White, and BOOM!
July 4 | Berkley Riverfront Park
Bring a blanket, grab some snacks, and enjoy the view. Fireworks will light up the downtown skyline. There’s usually food trucks and music, and it’s a fun way to celebrate in the heart of the city.

🏙️ Parkville 4th of July Celebration
July 4 | Parkville, MO
Think parade, carnival rides, live music, and fireworks. Parkville gives off those small-town vibes with big-time fun. It’s a full-day celebration and perfect for kids (or just being a kid at heart).

✨ Bonus Tip: Bring Lawn Chairs, Sunscreen & Bug Spray!
These events get busy, and the Kansas City July heat is no joke. Come prepared, grab a good spot early, and enjoy the show.

Whether you're heading downtown or keeping it local in the suburbs, there are so many ways to celebrate around Kansas City this year. If you see me out and about, say hi! And as always, if you're dreaming about celebrating next year in a new home, I’d love to help you get started.

Stay safe, have fun, and happy 4th! 🎆
